Climate Buddies eTwinning Project

 

  Our students' knowledge about climate was not enough. First of all, I explained the climate of the region we live in. I talked about the water decreasing in the barrages around us. The students were curious. They listened to me carefully. I asked them to gather information about climate and global warming. They read their research in our class. They were very keen on this study. They also described their work by drawing. After the research, they realized that greenhouse gases have an effect on the atmosphere.  

  We provided 4 pine saplings from Ayvalık Municipality Park and Garden Directorate. We planted our saplings in the garden of our school with the help of our school staff. All my students participated in the event. We said that it is our duty to protect our world. We have completed our first study.

  We watched an animated movie in our class on Global Warming and climate change. We talked about solutions. It was emphasized that we should all pay attention. It was said that it is everyone's duty to protect our world and that we should set an example. We have decided to inform all the people around us, starting with our school. It was a very productive, fun and informative work.
